From time to time, Nueces-Jim Wells County ESD No. 5 may host or participate in special events, community programs, public education activities, training opportunities, and other events throughout the year. As new events are scheduled, we'll post all the details here, including dates, times, locations, and any additional information you may need.

Annual Events

We look forward to connecting with our community through a variety of annual events and traditions each year. From firefighter training at TEEX and Fire Awareness Day at Agua Dulce School to the Annual Homecoming Bonfire, Annual Trunk or Treat, and Santa's Walk, these events give us the opportunity to serve, educate, and celebrate with our neighbors.

TEEX Fire Fighter Training 

Every July, our firefighters attend the annual TEEX Firefighter Training Program to sharpen their skills, learn the latest firefighting techniques, and train alongside departments from across Texas. This hands-on training helps ensure our team is prepared to respond safely, effectively, and confidently when our community needs us most.

Every July, our firefighters attend the annual TEEX Firefighter Training Program to sharpen their skills, learn the latest firefighting techniques, and train alongside departments from across Texas. Agua Dulce School

This event is held every October at the local school where Fire Fighters share information about fire awareness, hand out pamphlets, and discuss general fire safety with class members.

Annual Homecoming Bonfire

This event is held annually at the High School before the homecoming game. The Agua Dulce Fire Department is always in attendance to ensure the safety of all attending.

Jim Wells County Fair

This event is held annually n October at the Fairgrounds. The Agua Dulce Fire Department is there to ensure the safety of all attending.

Annual Trunk or Treat

This event is held every October, and the Fire Department participates to ensure the children of Agua Dulce have a safe place to dress-up and parade for candy and treats.

Annual Santa's Walk

Held in December of each year, this event is sponsored by the Agua Dulce Fire Department. Santa and his helpers (members of the department), walk and drive the streets of Ahua Dulce handing out candy for all the children
